Development history for insulation materials

The earliest insulation materials will becotton cloth, silk, mica, rubber and other natural products. In the early 20thcentury, the industrial synthetic plastic phenolic resin came first, it withexcellent electrical properties and high heat resistance properties. Then cameout the urea resin and alkyd resin. The synthesis for these heat resistance materialsprovide advantages for developing into F and H grade electrical machine.Polypropylene film has successfully used in power capacitor at the same time.

 

Since 70s the research and development ofnew materials is relatively less, and this period is mainly on the existing forall kinds of modified and expand the application range.
